The courthouse steps block is a variation of the traditional log cabin which features light and dark fabrics set opposite of each other to form steps. A wide variety of fabrics in rich colors of fall abound in these large 21’’ blocks. The lovely fabric used for the backing and binding is “Buttermilk Autumn” by Stacy West of Buttermilk Basin.

Texture is added with straight line quilting and whimsical leaves. The batting is by Winline Textiles 80% cotton, 20% polyester. This gives a traditional look and feel with the polyester adding easy care and lighter weight.

Step up the warmth in your bedroom with this large fall quilt.
