I was smitten with Jason Yenters tree and fall fabrics from his line “A Year of Art” from In the Beginning fabrics 2021. I purchased the central art panel blocks and the tree border print. It was 2024 when I finally found the perfect quilt to use these magnificent prints in.

I used blocks that I made from the Moda Fabrics Blockheads 2 pattern series for the multitude of stars that abound in this quilt. Six-inch square stars frame the printed blocks and twelve-inch square star blocks form the border around the central medallion. The final outer border is the beautiful tree print to complete this memory of trees quilt.

When I quilted this top I used my best quality batting, a 6 oz. bamboo. The standard natural fiber batting is 4 oz. This batting will keep you cozy and warm as cooler weather arrives with fall. I quilted retro leaves in a variegated yellow thread color to complement the fall trees.
