Moonlight Serenade
I combined the fabric line “Moonstone” by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts with a generous mix of fabrics from my stash. Next, I used the pattern “Wavelength” by Sharon McConnell featured in American Patchwork and Quilting, June 2017. The design makes me think of the repetition of music hence the name Moonlight Serenade. I increased the quilt size to a generous king at 98.75’’ x 100’’.
For the backing I used Buttermilk basics by Stacy West of Buttermilk Basin Designs. The batting is 100% bamboo and I finished it with an edge-to-edge quilting pattern called Verdant.
This beautiful quilt can be displayed with the waves running in two different directions. The rose, gray and black color combination is soothing. Let yourself be serenade as you drift off to sleep under this harmonious quilt.
Finished Size: King - 98.75’’ x 100’’
