I love to make scrap quilts. There is a magic that happens when you take small unrelated bits and pieces and sew them together to make a lovely quilt. I started by making blocks in specific color combinations.

When the blocks were pieced, I then laid them out in a pleasing arrangement. A couple of narrow borders frame the composition. I quilted a melon and hook motif between the color pathways and around the border. 

The batting is 50% soy/50% cotton. A variegated polyester thread adds a bit more depth and a floral binding finish this scrappy delight.
