Stardust
For this graphic star quilt I started with the pattern Stardust by Fat Quarter shop. The pattern is one quarter of this king size quilt. I chose to make four quilt units and setting them together with the stars radiating outward. This a generous sized quilt at 106.5’’ x 107.5’’.
The center fabric, which is a small geometric design in black, white, red and purple, is a colonies Archive c. 1850 print by Windham fabrics. I love that it looks so modern in this quilt. I also used this fabric for the backing. Additional fabrics are an ombré purple, red and black print, and a medium purple leaf print alternate with a light cream print.
An 80% cotton/20% polyester batting, geometric quilting and red binding finish off this sparkling quilt.
