This delightful quilt has a wide variety of textured, brights, geometric and novelty prints for a modern and graphic look. The rectangle piecing and alternate placement of the blocks allows this mix to come together into a harmonious whole. I used the quilt pattern Chicken Scratch by Sweet Fire Road.
For the backing I combined a mix of fun fabrics. I finished with the quilting pattern “Hickory” that features circles and squares to compliment the graphics of this quilt. Natural fiber bamboo batting by Winline Textiles drapes beautifully.
