This is an original pattern that I designed as a fun way to keep the feeling of fall in the house year-round. The leaves and stems are made with felted wool and gold colored rickrack. The column layout alternates the leaf appliqués with rich fall fabric strip pieced columns that bring a sophisticated balance to the whimsy of the textured leaves.

Aside from the leaves and stems, all fabric materials are 100% cotton. I used a Polydown batting and quilted leaves and swirls throughout the design. I think that you will enjoy having this quilt in your home just as much as I enjoyed designing and making it.
