Flower Boxes
I was given a selection of fat quarter cuts of border prints from the 1990’s. From the fat quarters I was able to cut the four rectangles used in the 9-patch variation block. Large floral prints are the focus in the center of each block with a variety of other related prints used in the outer corners of the blocks.
The mitered outer border is an Indian border block print by Priscilla Miller for Chapel House Div. of EZ International Fabrics Co. from 1993.
A combination of leaves and feathers in the quilting complements the floral theme of the quilt. An 80% cotton/20% polyester batting is a perfect weight for all seasons.
