Fresh Picked Flowers

Yo-yo flowers made from the Painterly Petals collection by Robert Kaufman spring to life with their 3-dimensional shapes and wool stamen. I added appliqued leaves and embroidery to finish these freshly picked flowers. They are set on a mixture of neutral fabrics which are framed with stones and pathways of floral prints.

More floral prints were used for the borders and binding to create an array of fresh flowers. For the backing I used a fabulous large-scale print from 1989. A perfect finish for this flower garden quilt.

I did custom quilting throughout with swags in the outer border. Wool batting adds loft and comfort.
