Genteel

I love to create sampler quilts. For me it is like a walk through an art gallery. There is so much to see and layers of complexity. This sampler quilt features a wide variety of appliques, embroidery, pieced blocks, soft colors, flowers, and gentle prints that exude charm and grace. It all comes together to create a genteel quilt that will grace your home.

Custom quilting of meandering vines with feathers and leaves is the perfect complement for this quilt.

I used a batting of 80% cotton/20% polyester by Winline Textiles. Cotton is a traditional batting and there is just enough polyester to pop the quilting and allow for easy care. The thread is Superior and Glide polyester.
