Lovely
A great line up of fabrics and designers make a “lovely” mix in a quilt sure to please a wide audience.
This quilt is rooted in the past and the present. It makes a “lovely” nod to the past with historically influenced prints. The pattern Smart Cookie by Vanessa Goertzen is a modern take on a star and log cabin block combination. The two combine to create a dynamic quilt.
I used the Jelly roll “Mary Ann’s Gift” 1850-1880 by Betsy Chutchian for Moda. Added the blue and mustard fabrics both from the line “Helping Hands” by Kim Diehl for Henry Glass & Co., Inc. Fabric for the neutral background is “Hush Hush” by Riley Blake Designs. The backing fabric is “Esprit Maison” by Robyn Pandolph for RJR Fabrics.
To complement the mix, I quilted the design Lacey Paisley by Ann Bright using a batting of 80% cotton, 20% polyester and Superior polyester thread.
Finished Size: California King - 94’’ x 94’’
