Sparkling Stars Medallion

The center of this medallion quilt is a shoofly block framed with log cabin strips. There are seven borders around this central block that creates this stunning rendition of a traditional 19th century style quilt. 

The star block border and rail fence border utilize 8’’ finished blocks. A mixture of mustard prints and a cream background print make up three of the borders as well as the binding. They bring continuity to the scrappy mix of prints used in this quilt. 

The final border is a 12’’ finished block - Sidekick. A pattern from Missouri Star Quilt Company. Two lines of fabric, Crystal Farm and Lady Tulip, by Laundry Basket Quilts are featured in this border.

The quilting design Trillium Leaf adds an organic texture. A lovely paisley print backing and, 100% Bamboo batting completes this modern rendition of the past.
