The colors of the earth and sky come together in this magnificent quilt. The pattern is by Laundry Basket Quilts. It was Edyta Sitar’s summer 2022 mystery quilt. She designed the pattern in two sizes. 6’’ block and a 9’’ block. This quilt features the larger 9’’ block.

I used a variety of mellow blue and cream prints, sky and snowy mountains, with an accent of terracotta, earth and canyons. The outer border is a lovely 1800’s style print, “Timeless” by Jo Morton for Moda Fabrics. A mixture of blue fabrics is used for the backing and binding which unites this earthy quilt.

For the finishing touches I used a batting of 80% cotton/20% polyester and the quilting pattern Razzmatazz.
