Large 24’’ square Wood Lily blocks are combined in a 9-patch setting. A double flying geese border echoes the design elements used in the blocks. A final narrow outer border frames the setting.

Civil War reproduction fabrics abound;” Civil War Crossings” and “Civil War Homefront” both by Barbara Brackman; “Susquehanna 1860-1880” and “Cracker Pie 1850-1880” are both by Moda; The line of fabric “Primrose” by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts for Andover: and an array of fabrics from my stash from Edyta and other Civil War reproduction fabrics feature just a few of the many designer fabrics used.

This fabulous Wood Lily block pattern is by Fat Quarter Shop.

An 80% cotton, 20% polyester batting gives a traditional look to the quilt. Glide and Superior polyester thread and the quilting pattern “Amorette” complete this quilt.
